If more than six months have passed since your last visit to the dentist, we encourage you to contact our office for an appointment, even if you don’t suspect anything is wrong. Routine dental exams and cleanings reveal dental problems before any significant damage occurs.

Your dental checkup will occur in two parts, a dental exam, and dental cleaning:

-Dental exam: We will carefully exam your smile through dental X-rays and a thorough analysis of your teeth and gums. During this time, Dr. Michael Woody will come in to review your X-rays results and speak with you about your dental health. If any problems are revealed, he will recommend an optimal treatment plan.

-Dental cleaning: Our friendly hygienist will gently clean between your teeth and under your gum line to remove any plaque or food particles that were missed during your daily mouth cleaning. It’s important to remove plaque and food particle deposits, as these are the main culprits responsible for gum disease and tooth decay.

During your visit, we will schedule your next dental checkup to help you arrange your dental appointments with little to no hassle. You may need to visit the office more often if you have a chronic dental concern such as periodontal disease. Dr. Michael Woody and our entire dental team are committed to providing our patients with effective and enjoyable dental checkups that contribute positively toward their dental health.
